Desert vampires of Mephais. 2nd clan out of Sammael

Disadvantages:  They cannot use their path of blood and necromantic magic while exposed to the sun, without risking lowering their radiation immunity by -50%.   Drink Water: like humans, these vampires require water to survive and get dehydrated if they do not drink enough water.  Water can be attained by drinking blood.

Retractable Fangs: +10, large curved fangs like a lion's in vampire form, +3 in subrace form
Retractable Claws: +15, large heavy claws in vampire form, +5 subrace form
Feral Strength:  +15, +1 per two levels in vampire form Rage: +25, +1 per two levels, base strength in any form, 0 HB defense when enraged, lasts at least 1 d6+2 actions (AR)
Fortitude:  +12
Improved Stamina:  +10
Hasted Movement: +5 movement, +1 per two levels
Far Leap: 2 d6, +1 per five levels, total = max distance covered. Also doubles as added kicking damage.
Lion's Grace: +5 natural dexterity and reflexes, +1 per two levels
Immune to Sunlight: sunlight has no ill affect on these vampires unless they use their blood sorcery or necromancy during daylight hours, which lowers their resistant to the sun by 50% until it sets.

Information

    Vampires reborn of the desert - Immune to Sunlight. These vampires have no set leader while they do attain counsel from their high Elder Gilgoth, a second generation Duminor. Their Primogen father died from sun exposure. The Duminor Clan did however join together under the banner of the Black Pike of Hesstromeph as adherents of the Eastfold's cause to attain the freedom to live in the Westfold. Until called to battle, they dwell within the desert and in the Morbh Bienae (Dark Mountains). This was the first race of vampires forced out into the desert, and many died of sun exposure. Those who survived, by finding shelter, taking over a shelter, or by burying themselves in the sand, developed an immunity which they passed onto their progeny. It is said their primogen's power cursed them to always remember the sacrifice of those who died to grant them their immunity to the sun, by making certain the use of Blood Sorcery and Necromancy made them vulnerable to the sun.

    In vampire form, these vampires are quite tall, anywhere from seven to nine feet tall, and have as much in common with lions in their appearance as with the Neffari, Namas, and other desert dwelling people they are sired of. They have broad heads and lion-like muzzles, hair like manes in their human color, ears both humanoid and feline-like, and eyes like a lion's. Large, paw-like hands are equipped with huge claws and their powerful legs are shaped and muscled both as a lion's and a human's. They wound their prey in vampire form and lap at the blood, while their fangs and claws are smaller in subrace form; whereby they pierce or tear arteries or veins and suckle the blood.
