Information

Human in appearance with gold or red toned skin. Slender, male or female. Hair is black, twilight blue, or a dark, red brown, and their eyes are green, yellow-green, azure, or electric-blue. They have wings like large moth types, but often tear them off to pass themselves off as humans. Their wings will only grow back if their shoulders are burned by flames, and it takes 7 days for their wings to grown back. Males and females alike have wings. They can shapeshift into moths, but if they are drawn to fire and burn, they will shift back to human-like form, and their wings will disintegrate into ash. These faeries have a great love of fire, and are innate Fire Elementals. They are vulnerable in moth form, with exception of being able to fly, and if crushed, they will shift to their human-like form. These faeries commit a great deal of their time to exploring their environment and studying other creatures, and have grand celebrations to bring in the seasons, for marriages, and birthdays. They are very curious about other creatures, and often fall in the way of other human-like, or elven races, but are very secretive about what they are, and often mislead others into believing they are human. This stems from a time in their history when they were hunted to near extinction for being faeries, as a result of being confused for their more mischievous cousins, or for child swappers and changlings. If discovered as being faeries, they will leave any non-faery mate they have joined with, and return to their own kind. They can be mischievous, but never do any harm, unless encountering an enemy. Faeries are very reluctant to wed, because divorce among faeries is not an option. When faeries marry, they do so for life, and they can live forever. The only way to end a marriage, is for one of the faeries to die. Infidelities may be taken lightly by one couple, or result in murder in another, depending on the passion one faery has for their mate. Faeries are quasi-immortal, and cease aging between 16-24 years of age.
