Thorn Dragon

Information: Thorn dragons vary in shades of green and brown according to their environment, and can blend into a forest perfectly. Scales are smooth and can be a deep green or pale green with tan, brown or green stripes. Thorn Dragons have plates down their hindquarters and tails shaped likes leaves, which are usually pale green; and have thorn like spines on their heads and necks. Even their wings resemble immense leaves complete with veins and leafy edges. The green and earthy colors of their scales can even vary from banded, striped, solid in color, or mottled. The variable shades are sometimes darker or lighter shades of green and brown than their dominating color. Their eyes vary in color from a pale, mint green, to yellow and darker shades of green, to mottled yellows, greens or browns. These dragons are peaceful unless provoked, or if their domain is threatened or abused. These dragons live in forest wilderlands and jungles. Thorn dragons are the only herbivorous dragons aside from their sentient, more evolved, Rainforest Dragon relatives, and are the size of a large draft horse having a similair build with reptilian features, including a long tail. Their wings are used for short flight or to give them lift to reach leaves from higher branches, unlike other larger, soaring dragons, such as their Rainforest Dragon cousin. Thorn Dragons are often used as mounts, particularly by the elven and goblin folk, who know how to tame and train these beautiful, quadruped dragons.
